“S & W is a full-service trial law firm. Our lawyers have over 45 years of combined legal experience and take great pride in their work ethic, commitment and litigation skill.”
Matthew J. Scanlon, ESQ.
Attorney Matthew Scanlon is originally from Trumbull, CT but has lived and worked in Pittsburgh, PA for the last 12 years, the last 5 of them as a lawyer. Matt attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA where he received his B.A. in Music Performance – Jazz Guitar in 2006, graduating in the top 5% of his entire 2006 class.
It is Matt’s love and ability for creating music and art that has given him the ability to practice law in a more creative manner. Matt sees the law being more of an interpersonal, imaginative, and creative effort than other lawyers, who simply see the law in black and white and refuse to get creative to maximize their client’s case potential.
Matt then attended the Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh, PA, graduating in 2009 with Honors. Matt is actively involved in numerous trial associations, including the American Association for Justice, Western PA Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and Allegheny County Bar Association.
Matt is also, along with partner Timothy G. Wojton, involved and associated with Mass Torts Made Perfect Seminars. Matt is also actively involved in the community of Hampton Township, PA where he and his beautiful Wife Ana reside with their daughter, Nellie Mae.
Timothy Wojton, ESQ.
Attorney Timothy Grant Wojton has been a lifelong resident of the South Hills of Pittsburgh. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1999, he attended Bucknell University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Tim worked in the financial services industry for almost two years before he joined his law partner, Matt Scanlon, as a first-year law student at the Duquesne University School of Law in 2006. Three years later, Tim graduated magna cum laude, passed the Pennsylvania Bar exam, and joined the private practice of his father, Timothy G. Wojton, Esq., in Baldwin, PA. Tim credits much of his knowledge, experience, skills and talent to the patient and undying mentorship of his father, and he remains eternally grateful for his guidance and support.
Tim is involved in the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Allegheny County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and recently attended the Mass Torts Made Perfect Seminar in Las Vegas, Nevada, whereupon Scanlon & Wojton, LLC became involved in the pursuit and litigation of pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. Tim married his lovely wife, Magdalena, on March 1, 2014, just weeks after Scanlon & Wojton, LLC officially opened its offices in downtown Pittsburgh. Tim thanks his wife for her love and support.

Testimonials
“S & W are currently handling a defective metal-on-metal hip replacement case for me against one of those corporate bullies they refer to. The case is exceeding expectations and I am so happy I chose these to work with S & W. They are professional, prompt and pay particular detail to my case, which gives me the peace to know the case will have a tremendous outcome for me.”
“A friend of mine referred me to S & W to handle my personal injury claim for an accident where someone who was texting and driving blind-sided me. S & W were so thorough and expeditious in their handling of my claim and they left no stone unturned. They made sure that I received punitive damages, which maximized my settlement, even after another lawyer I consulted before them said I wouldn’t be entitled to punitive damages. These guys are as talented and aggressive as they claim to be. I would recommend them to anyone and I believe they will be, if they aren’t already, Pittsburgh’s Premier Injury Lawyers.”
